About

I spent fifteen years learning how to communicate when it counted.

Now I do it for businesses in San Antonio. I’m Cody Mackall, and Veteran Vision Media is me. Not a front for a team of contractors, not a name on a shingle. When you hire this company, I’m the one who builds your strategy, writes your posts, runs your ads, and picks up the phone.

How I got here

The Army made me a communicator before it made me anything else.

I enlisted in 2011 and separated as a Staff Sergeant fifteen years later. Along the way I became the Department of the Army’s BOSS Representative, which meant speaking for every single soldier in the Army: to commanders, to senior leaders, to rooms full of people who had every reason to tune me out. I learned to find the message that actually lands, deliver it on time, and follow through when nobody’s checking.

That’s the same job marketing is. Know the audience. Say the true thing in a way they’ll hear. Show up again next week whether or not it’s convenient.

I started Veteran Vision Media because I kept watching good small businesses lose to better-marketed ones. Not better businesses. Better marketed. That gap is fixable, and closing it is work I actually enjoy.

What you get

Three things I’ll hold myself to.

You talk to me

No account manager, no intake form, no waiting three days for a reply from somebody who’s never seen your business. You have my number. When a job needs a specialist for video or a web build, I bring one in and I manage them.

It ships when I said it would

Deadlines were not optional where I came from and they aren’t here either. You’ll get a schedule up front and I’ll hit it. If something slips, you’ll hear it from me before you notice it yourself.

I’ll tell you the truth

Including when the answer is that you don’t need me, or that the thing you asked for won’t work. I’d rather lose a month of billing than sell you something that doesn’t move your business.
